Spacecraft cabins have no atmosphere to vent CO2 into passively, so life-support hardware like the ISS's 4-bed molecular sieve does the job in hardware: four zeolite beds cycle through a staggered adsorb/regenerate sequence, offset a quarter-period apart, so two beds are always scrubbing cabin CO2 while the other two are heated and vented to vacuum to purge what they captured. This 2D simulator drives a real Langmuir-kinetics adsorption/desorption model for all four beds plus a live cabin CO2 mass balance from crew metabolic production, with a rolling strip chart of cabin ppCO2 and an optional single-bed (no cycling) comparison trace that shows exactly what regeneration buys you: without it, a bed's loading saturates and its removal rate collapses toward zero while cabin ppCO2 climbs unchecked.
