Vinyl Groove & Stylus Physics Simulator (2D)
Interactive 2D turntable simulator: a stylus tracks a spiral groove cut at constant angular velocity, so linear groove speed and groove wavelength shrink toward the center, with a live audio waveform and a real speed-changes-pitch control.
This 2D simulator follows a turntable stylus as it tracks a spiral groove from the outer edge toward the label, driven by a real constant-angular-velocity model: linear groove speed and groove wavelength both shrink as the radius decreases, exactly the mastering constraint that causes real inner-groove distortion. A live scrolling waveform reconstructs the audio the stylus is reading, and a pitch fader demonstrates the genuine turntable effect of speed changes shifting playback pitch.
A 2D turntable simulator: a stylus tracks a spiral groove cut at constant angular velocity, so linear groove speed and groove wavelength shrink toward the center for a fixed audio frequency, with a live reconstructed waveform and a pitch fader that shifts playback pitch by changing platter speed, exactly like a real turntable.
