This 2D simulator packs a swarm of particles into a box and lets them bounce elastically off the walls and each other, exactly as the kinetic theory of gases describes a real gas at the molecular level. Raise the temperature to speed every particle up, add more particles or shrink the container to watch collisions with the walls pile up, and read the live speed, pressure and kinetic-energy numbers to see the ideal gas law PV = nRT play out in real time — the PV/nRT ratio holds steady no matter which variable you change.
