One-Way ANOVA 2D: Strip Plot & F-Distribution

Interactive 2D one-way ANOVA simulator: a live jittered strip plot of every sampled point per group with mean markers and the grand mean, paired with a running histogram of the F-statistic across repeated resamples overlaid on the true F(dfB,dfW) probability density.

Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) decides whether three or more group means genuinely differ by comparing two variance estimates: how far the group means spread from the overall grand mean (the "signal"), against how far individual points scatter within their own group (the "noise"). This 2D simulator draws every sampled observation as a jittered dot in its own group column, marks each group's sample mean and the shared grand mean, and — uniquely — accumulates the F-statistic from every resample into a live histogram overlaid on the theoretical F(dfB, dfW) probability density curve, so you can watch the actual sampling distribution ANOVA theory describes emerge from repeated draws rather than reading it off a table. Sliders control the number of groups, the sample size per group, the true effect size and the within-group spread, while live readouts track the F-statistic, its exact p-value, both mean-square components, η² effect size, and a reject/fail-to-reject verdict at the chosen significance level.
