🌌 Galaxy Collision Simulation: Tidal Tails, Bridges and Merger Geometry

Toomre-style restricted N-body galaxy collision with up to 120,000 disk stars, selectable encounter geometry (pericentre, eccentricity, tilt of both discs, mass ratio) and in-page numerical checks.

⚙ Under the hood

Toomre-style restricted N-body galaxy collision with up to 120,000 disc stars: choose pericentre, eccentricity, mass ratio and the tilt of both discs (prograde, polar, retrograde), with Chandrasekhar dynamical friction and in-page Kepler, circular-orbit and leapfrog checks. Unlike the catalogue's other galaxy-merger labs it adds full encounter geometry for both discs, density colouring, physical units (kpc, km/s, Myr) and a measured prograde-vs-retrograde tail experiment; disc and sky art rendered in Blender.
