🪐 Cosmic Planet Formation Simulation (3D)
A real N-body accretion model: planetesimals orbit a young star, feel each other's gravity, and collide into growing protoplanets — watch a protoplanetary disk build a handful of worlds from thousands of scattered fragments.
This is a genuine gravitational N-body simulation of planet formation: dozens to hundreds of planetesimals are seeded in a thin Keplerian disk around a young star and integrated frame by frame under the star's gravity and (optionally) each other's mutual gravity. When two bodies' collision spheres overlap, they merge in a perfectly inelastic collision that conserves momentum and mass exactly — the growing bodies visibly change color as they cross from dust, to planetesimal, to protoplanet. The live readout tracks the mass-conservation drift so you can verify the physics is honest.
