Water Processor Assembly: Stage-by-Stage Kinetics (2D)

A 2D companion to the 3D Water Processor Assembly: a flat schematic diagram of the four purification stages plus a live strip chart of total organic carbon and resin saturation over time, built from the same first-order contact-time kinetics, Arrhenius reaction rate and breakthrough-curve model — with a corrected ion-exchange ceiling so the potable-water gate is actually reachable.

This 2D companion to the 3D Water Processor Assembly simulator swaps the walkthrough pipe for a flat schematic diagram and a live strip chart, so the same first-order contact-time kinetics, Arrhenius reaction rate and ion-exchange breakthrough curve can be read as numbers changing over time rather than only as a snapshot. Contaminant particles still stream through four stages — multifiltration, catalytic oxidation, ion exchange and mineral injection — recoloured stage by stage as total organic carbon drops, while a scrolling chart tracks final TOC, conductivity and resin saturation across the whole session. Numerically solving the original model's own equations turned up an inconsistency: its ion-exchange ceiling made the potable-water quality gate mathematically impossible to pass at any slider setting, so this version raises that ceiling just enough to make the gate genuinely reachable — and still genuinely hard — by tuning contaminant load, flow rate and reactor temperature together.
