Lagrange Points Lab (2D)

Top-down rotating-frame view of the restricted circular three-body problem: pick a target Lagrange point, offset a spacecraft from it, and see whether station-keeping — or the lack of it — holds the point or lets the craft drift away.

This 2D companion drives the same restricted circular three-body equations as the 3D version through a plain top-down canvas: pick Earth–Moon or Sun–Earth, target any of the five Lagrange points, nudge the spacecraft off it by a chosen percentage, and watch the trail either curl back toward the point under station-keeping or peel away once that correction is switched off — with a live Jacobi-constant readout showing the same balance of gravity and rotation that puts each point where it is.

⚙ Under the hood

2D top-down rotating-frame restricted three-body simulation with the same equations of motion, station-keeping feedback and Jacobi-constant readout as the 3D lab.
