This 2D companion renders the same procedurally generated storm system as the 3D globe, but flattened onto a scrolling equirectangular map instead of a rotating sphere. The identical density, cloud-top temperature and moisture fields drive all three channels, so switching from Visible to Infrared to Water Vapor over the same map spot reveals the same hidden structure the 3D version shows — just without needing to orbit a camera to see it.

⚙ Under the hood

Same procedural storm fields as the 3D globe (density, cloud-top temperature, moisture), rendered onto a flat scrolling 2D map with three switchable imaging channels and a click-to-inspect point readout.
