Acoustic Design Fundamentals (2D)

Top-down 2D room acoustics lab: bounce a sound wavefront around a floor plan, add absorptive panels, and watch reverberation time (RT60) change live via the Sabine equation.

This 2D companion drives the same Sabine-equation reverberation model as the 3D version through a plain top-down floor-plan view: sound-wavefront particles spawn at the room's centre, bounce off the four walls of a square room, and lose energy at each bounce according to the average absorption coefficient set by the absorption-panel slider, while a live stats panel reports RT60, room volume, average absorption and the measured bounce rate.
