Robotic Arm Assembly Cell: 2-Link Inverse Kinematics (2D)

A 2-link robot arm picks parts off a moving conveyor and stacks them, driven entirely by a closed-form inverse-kinematics solver — adjust the link lengths, belt speed and cycle speed, or switch to manual mode and aim the gripper with the mouse.

The 3D original poses its robot arm with a hand-tuned chain of joint rotations. This 2D companion instead solves the arm's posture analytically from a target point using the standard 2-link inverse-kinematics closed form, so the same pick-weld-stack cycle runs off real geometry rather than canned animation — shrink the arm below the distance to the stack and you can watch it hit its workspace limit live.

⚙ Under the hood

2-link planar arm solved with closed-form inverse kinematics; an FSM drives it through a conveyor pick-and-place-and-weld cycle, or switch to manual mode to aim the gripper with the mouse.
