Dispersion-Cancelled Quantum OCT (2D)
Interactive 2D quantum-optical coherence tomography simulator: scan a mirror delay through an entangled-photon Hong-Ou-Mandel interferometer bench, watch the coincidence dip stay narrow through tissue dispersion that broadens the classical interferogram, and pan/zoom the optical schematic.
This 2D simulator renders a Hong-Ou-Mandel style quantum-optical coherence tomography (QOCT) rig as a top-down optical-bench schematic: a down-conversion crystal emits frequency-anticorrelated photon pairs, one probing a layered tissue sample and the other bouncing off a scannable reference mirror, recombining on a beamsplitter before two coincidence-counting detectors. Drag the mirror delay to sweep the interferogram and watch the coincidence rate dip; raise the tissue's group-delay dispersion and compare how the quantum coincidence dip stays essentially unchanged in width while a classical (unentangled) interferogram broadens and loses contrast — the real dispersion-cancellation advantage entangled photon pairs bring to depth-resolved biomedical imaging. Pan and zoom the bench view, and watch simulated detector clicks accumulate at a rate that tracks the live coincidence probability.
