Quantum Partnership Network: Threshold Adoption Cascade (2D)
Interactive 2D network simulator: watch quantum-technology adoption spread through a random-geometric web of collaborating labs, universities and companies using Watts' linear threshold cascade model. Tune partnership radius, adoption thresholds and seed adopters, then compare seed choices side by side to find the tipping point between a contained cascade and full diffusion.
Real quantum-technology breakthroughs rarely happen in isolation — they spread through webs of partnerships between hardware startups, university labs, national institutes and commercial adopters. This simulator renders such a network as 60 nodes scattered across a 2D plane and connected into a random-geometric graph by partnership radius, then runs Watts' linear threshold cascade model on it: a node adopts quantum technology once enough of its directly-connected partners already have. Tune the partnership radius, the mean adoption threshold, and how many organisations start as committed seed adopters, then step through the cascade tick by tick — or press Play — while a live chart tracks cumulative adoption, and use Compare Seed Choices to see how the same network can either fizzle out or fully diffuse depending purely on which nodes seed it.
