🌱 Peripheral Precocious Puberty Etiology Simulator (3D)

Orbit a glowing 3D endocrine map of the body — pituitary, adrenals, gonads, and an exogenous hormone source — and step through five GnRH-independent etiologies of peripheral precocious puberty, watching each active gland pulse and emit hormone particles.

A 3D endocrine map for the same five etiologies

This is the 3D companion to the 2D Peripheral Precocious Puberty Etiology Simulator. Instead of a flat schematic, the hypothalamic-pituitary axis, both adrenal glands, the gonad, and an exogenous hormone source are placed on a orbitable 3D body model. Drag to rotate the view, scroll or pinch to zoom, and step through the same five stages — GnRH-independent recognition, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, McCune-Albright syndrome, gonadal/adrenal tumors, and exogenous exposure with secondary central conversion — while the glands relevant to each etiology pulse, glow, and emit color-coded hormone particles in 3D space.

Two sliders reproduce the same clinical variables as the 2D version — 17-hydroxyprogesterone level (the CAH biomarker) and autonomous sex-steroid level — and drive the density and rate of the particle emission from the active glands, alongside live readouts for GnRH-stimulation-test LH response, sex-steroid level, suspected source, and café-au-lait macule presence. In the final stage, watch the pituitary-gonad axis line brighten from suppressed grey through amber to red as sustained peripheral exposure drives secondary central conversion, exactly mirroring the biology described in the 2D companion's stimulation-test graph.

⚙ Under the hood

3D companion to the peripheral precocious puberty simulator: orbit a glowing endocrine map of the body — pituitary, adrenals, gonads, an exogenous source — and step through five GnRH-independent etiologies with live hormone-particle emission and a stimulation-test-driven axis indicator.
