🏰 Trebuchet Physics Lab: Counterweight, Release Angle and Block-Castle Demolition
A counterweight trebuchet as a Lagrangian double (or triple) pendulum with RK4 integration, a release-pin angle sweep that finds the range-maximising release, an energy budget (30-60 % efficiency) and a ~550-block rigid stone castle that is hit by the stone. Unlike the existing trebuchet and catapult toys it models beam, sling and hinged-weight dynamics, drag and wind, and measures impact energy, dislodged blocks and debris mass, with three measured-vs-predicted experiments. Inanimate stone and wood targets only.
