⚛️ Fusion Energy Lab: Lawson Triple Product, Gain Q and Ignition
Fusion energy lab: D-T reactivity from the Bosch-Hale fit, power balance, the Lawson triple product, scientific gain Q and ignition, a tokamak with IPB98(y,2) confinement scaling and an inertial-confinement capsule in a hohlraum. A Blender-built, Three.js teaching model.
Deuterium-tritium fusion power balance with the Bosch-Hale reactivity fit: set temperature, density and confinement time to see the fusion power, scientific gain Q, bremsstrahlung and the Lawson triple-product ignition line (minimum near 14 keV, about 3x10^21 keV s/m^3), then run a tokamak with the empirical IPB98(y,2) confinement scaling, or fire an inertial-confinement capsule in a hohlraum and watch alpha self-heating, burn-up and target gain. Unlike the existing nuclear-fusion, tokamak and fusion-reactor pages it is organised around the triple-product frontier map with approximate historical device points, a measured-versus-analytic minimum-triple-product experiment and an ignition-boundary trace in the (n tau, T) plane. Educational 0-D model with generic, unbranded machines; recent ignition and record results are described only as reported.
