🔬 What It Demonstrates

Each hex cell's height and colour encode its live temperature. The core stays pinned near the ideal 34–36°C band regardless of outside conditions; cells nearer the comb edge swing with the outside temperature, especially in a weak colony or without fanning.

🎮 How to Use

Set the outside temperature and colony strength, drag the sensor from the core out to the wall, and watch the display board log its readings. Toggle fanning and speed up the day/night cycle to see the nest buffer — or fail to buffer — real fluctuations.

💡 Did You Know?

Brood needs a stable ~35°C to develop properly — deviations of just a couple of degrees for extended periods can produce malformed wings or shortened lifespans in emerging bees.
