⚖️ Double Pendulum in 3D — Spherical Chaos

A genuine 3D double pendulum: both arms swing freely in polar and azimuthal angles, integrated from the real Lagrangian equations of motion. Rotate the camera to watch the chaotic precession.

⚙ Under the hood

3D companion to the classic 2D double pendulum: instead of two angles confined to one plane, each arm now carries a full polar and azimuthal angle, so the whole system can precess freely through 3D space. The extra freedom is solved from the real rigid-rod Lagrangian (an analytic mass matrix plus its Coriolis/centrifugal terms, integrated with RK4), not a cosmetic wobble layered on the 2D motion. Orbit the camera around the swinging arms and watch the chaotic, non-planar precession unfold, with a live angle and energy readout.
