XRT Lump Ore Sorter: Dual-Energy X-Ray Sorting (2D)

2D XRT ore-sorter lab: dual-energy X-ray transmission through each lump gives a thickness-independent R-value tied to effective atomic number, driving a real accept/reject ejector decision.

This 2D companion rebuilds the actual sorting physics behind the 3D plant view: each lump gets a true dual-energy X-ray ratio R from its simulated composition, a noisy sensor reads it as the lump crosses the scan gate, and an ejector fires only when that reading clears your threshold — so recovery and concentrate grade respond to the belt-speed, feed-grade, threshold and sensor-noise sliders exactly the way a real XRT circuit would.

⚙ Under the hood

Beer–Lambert attenuation at two X-ray energies gives a thickness-independent ratio R = μ(low)/μ(high) tied to each lump's effective atomic number; a noisy sensor reading against a threshold drives the ejector, and recovery/grade update live as lumps sort into concentrate or tailings.
