Static vs Kinetic Friction Incline Lab (2D)
2D side-view friction lab: adjust incline angle, static/kinetic coefficients and block mass to see the exact critical angle where tan(theta)=mu_s, the stick-slip breakaway, and the resulting kinetic acceleration, with live force-vector diagrams.
This 2D companion drives the same Amontons–Coulomb friction model as the 3D version through a plain side-on canvas view built for reading the physics rather than orbiting a scene: independent sliders for incline angle, block mass, and static/kinetic coefficients feed a live force-vector diagram and a readout panel that reports the exact critical angle θc = arctan(μₛ), the current normal force, driving force, friction force and acceleration, while an auto-sweep mode slowly tilts the ramp so you can watch the stick-slip breakaway happen in real time instead of jumping straight to it.
2D incline-friction lab with real force decomposition (mg·sinθ vs μ·mg·cosθ), a live critical-angle readout θc = arctan(μₛ), and an auto-sweep mode that demonstrates the stick-slip transition from static lock to kinetic sliding.
