Planetary Orbits in a Dynamic Solar System (2D)

2D top-down Kepler-orbit lab: eight planets solved from Kepler's equation each frame, with a sun-mass slider driving Kepler's third law and a live vis-viva speed readout.

This 2D companion keeps the same eight-planet system as the 3D original but views it from directly above, and solves each planet's position from Kepler's equation every frame rather than a fixed angular step, so orbital speed genuinely quickens at perihelion and eases at aphelion. A Sun-mass slider drives Kepler's third law directly, and a live readout panel reports the tracked planet's period and instantaneous speed from the vis-viva equation.
