Smash Glass Physics Simulator (2D)

Interactive 2D glass-fracture lab: choose tempered, annealed or laminated glass, aim at the pane, and smash it. The same impact-energy-vs-resistance formula from the 3D version decides whether it cracks, granulates into fragments or holds together.

This 2D companion runs the same impact model as the 3D Smash Glass Physics Simulator on a plain canvas: pick tempered, annealed or laminated glass, drag the impact-force and thickness sliders, click the pane to aim, then press Smash. Impact energy scales with the square of the force, resistance scales with the glass type's strength and thickness, and whichever wins decides whether the pane just cracks, shatters into a spray of fragments, or — for laminated glass — stays held together by its interlayer while the glass around it turns opaque with cracks.

⚙ Under the hood

Impact-energy-vs-resistance glass fracture model: energy grows with force², resistance grows with glass-type strength times thickness, and the pane cracks, granulates or holds together depending on which wins.
