Respirable Dust Simulation (2D)
A 2D working-face cross-section where airborne dust particles obey Stokes' law: fine grains drift and settle slowly, coarse ones fall fast, and you control source particle size, local-exhaust airflow, water-mist suppression and cross-draft turbulence to see how each one changes the respirable fraction in the air.
Each dust grain is spawned at a cutting face with a diameter drawn from a log-normal distribution around your chosen median, then falls under its real Stokes'-law terminal velocity — fine particles barely sink and stay airborne, coarse ones drop quickly. Turn on local exhaust to pull particles toward a duct sink, or raise water-mist suppression to agglomerate grains into heavier, fast-settling droplets, and watch the live respirable-fraction (particles ≤4 µm, the standard alveolar-deposition cut point) and airborne-concentration readouts respond.
2D respirable-dust lab driven by Stokes' law settling, log-normal particle-size sampling, a sink-flow exhaust model and mist-agglomeration, with live respirable-fraction and concentration readouts.
