🧪 Supernova Remnant Simulator (2D)
A 2D cross-section view of an expanding supernova shell, driven by the same Sedov-Taylor-style shock scaling as the 3D version — genuine radius and shock-speed formulas, not just a repainted animation.
This 2D companion swaps the 3D version's orbiting camera for a flattened cross-section: the shell radius and shock speed follow the same age- and energy-scaled power laws, filaments are scattered around the shell rim instead of over a sphere, and an added ambient-density control shifts when the remnant leaves free expansion for the Sedov-Taylor phase, so the physics — not just the picture — stays comparable between the two versions.
2D cross-section supernova remnant lab with Sedov-Taylor-style radius/speed scaling and a density-dependent phase transition, driven by explosion type, energy, age and ISM density controls.
