Prosthetic Gait Control (2D)

A flat two-segment leg model: gait-cycle angle curves drive hip and knee, while the prosthetic leg's knee is corrected each stance phase by a proportional controller reacting to terrain height and Sensor Response Gain.

This 2D companion turns the 3D gait scene into a readable side-view kinematic chain: hip and knee angles follow gait-cycle curves for a "sound" leg and a "prosthetic" leg offset by half a stride, while the prosthetic knee's flexion gets a proportional correction each stance phase based on the terrain height under its foot — scaled directly by the Sensor Response Gain slider, so a low gain on a rough surface visibly mistimes foot placement and raises the trip-risk readout.

⚙ Under the hood

Two-segment forward kinematics per leg driven by gait-cycle angle curves, with a proportional feedback controller correcting the prosthetic ankle to terrain height, gated by a sensor-gain parameter.
