⚛️ Lennard-Jones Fluid Dynamics (2D)
A 2D molecular dynamics simulation of a Lennard-Jones fluid: velocity-Verlet integration, a velocity-rescaling thermostat, and a cell-list neighbour search let you watch gas, liquid and solid phases emerge from one pair potential.
⚙ Under the hood
A 2D molecular dynamics simulation of a Lennard-Jones fluid: atoms interact through the V(r)=4ε[(σ/r)¹²−(σ/r)⁶] pair potential, integrated with velocity-Verlet and held at a target temperature by a velocity-rescaling thermostat. Adjust temperature, particle count and interaction strength to watch the system move between gas, liquid and solid phases, with live readouts of temperature, energy, pressure and average speed.
