Pilot-Wave Double-Slit: Walking Droplets (2D)
2D hydrodynamic pilot-wave double-slit lab: a bouncing droplet is guided by the Faraday wave it excites on a vibrating bath, passing through one of two slits while the wave passes through both, building a real de Broglie-Bohm-style interference pattern one trajectory at a time.
This 2D companion covers the hydrodynamic double-slit analog — Couder and Fort's bouncing, "walking" silicone-oil droplets on a vibrating bath — rather than the photon/electron version. Each droplet keeps a single definite trajectory through one slit, but is steered the whole way by the coherent two-slit wave field it and the bath surface generate, computed here as a genuine complex-field phase-gradient guidance law (a direct de Broglie–Bohm pilot-wave analog), so a real interference pattern accumulates on the screen one droplet at a time instead of being drawn from a canned intensity formula.
2D hydrodynamic pilot-wave double-slit lab (Couder-Fort walking droplets, not photons): each bouncing droplet takes one definite slit while its own two-slit wave field steers it by a real phase-gradient guidance law, building a genuine interference pattern on the screen one trajectory at a time.
