Celestite Gravity Separation (2D)

Interactive 2D jig separator: pulsating water strokes a bed of dense celestite (SrSO4) and lighter gangue grains, letting Stokes drag and buoyancy stratify them by specific gravity.

This 2D jig simulates gravity concentration of celestite (strontium sulfate, SrSO₂) from lighter carbonate gangue. A pulsating water column drives Stokes drag and buoyancy on every grain; because heavier, larger celestite lags the pulsation while light gangue rides it, the bed stratifies into a dense concentrate layer at the sieve and a teetered light layer above, exactly as in an industrial jig plant. Tune the pulse rate, stroke amplitude, feed rate and grain size and watch the recovery and purity readouts respond in real time.
