🧪 Candle Flame Simulation (2D)
A 2D stable-fluids convection lab: a semi-Lagrangian fluid solver drives a real buoyant temperature plume above the wick, so hot air genuinely rises, cools and is advected by its own velocity field.
This 2D companion swaps the 3D version's orbiting camera and jittered flame sprites for a real physics grid: a semi-Lagrangian stable-fluids solver (advection, diffusion and pressure projection) tracks temperature and velocity above the wick, and buoyancy genuinely pushes hot cells upward, cooling and mixing as they rise — so the convection plume and the "wax remaining" fuel-burn readout are computed, not animated.
