🎈 Atmospheric Balloon Network (2D)

2D Canvas companion to the 3D atmospheric balloon network: latex weather balloons climb on buoyancy and isothermal gas expansion, burst at a material-limited altitude, and a ground sensor network you place tracks live radio coverage.

This 2D companion drives the same physics as the 3D version through a plain canvas view: balloons climb on Archimedes buoyancy while their gas volume expands isothermally with falling air pressure, burst once the envelope stretches past its material limit, then fall on a parachute — and any ground station you place logs whether each telemetry ping was within radio line-of-sight.

⚙ Under the hood

2D Canvas lab of a weather-balloon network: buoyant force ρ_air(h)·V(h)·g against weight and quadratic drag, isothermal gas expansion V(h)=V0·e^(h/H) that sets a material-limited burst altitude, and a ground sensor network whose coverage depends on line-of-sight range growing with √altitude.
