Champagne Bubbles Simulator (2D)

Interactive 2D champagne-bubble simulator: CO2 saturation and temperature sliders drive a nucleation-site bubble-stream model, with bubbles growing and accelerating as they rise, matching the mechanic of the site's 3D champagne glass.

This 2D simulator renders a champagne flute in cross-section with a working nucleation model underneath: fixed scratch sites on the glass wall release CO2 as bubble streams, and a CO2-saturation slider sets how fast new bubbles are born at each site while a temperature slider controls how quickly each bubble grows and accelerates as it climbs. Live readouts track the number of active bubbles, the total spawn rate across all sites, the average rise speed, and how many nucleation sites are currently active. Use Tap the glass for a one-off burst of extra bubbles at every site, the way tapping a real flute jars loose trapped gas.

⚙ Under the hood

A 2D cross-section of a champagne flute where CO2-saturation and temperature sliders drive the same nucleation-site bubble model as the 3D glass: bubbles are born at fixed scratch sites on the glass wall, then grow and accelerate as they rise to the surface.
