Food Chain Ecosystem: Producer-Consumer-Predator Dynamics (2D)
Interactive 2D food-web simulator: grass, rabbits and foxes governed by real logistic-growth and Lotka-Volterra-style equations, with a live trophic-flow diagram and boom-and-bust population graph.
This 2D canvas simulation models a three-level food web — grass, rabbits and foxes — with grass growing logistically toward a carrying capacity while rabbits graze it for energy and foxes hunt rabbits in turn, all driven by a real RK4-integrated system of coupled growth equations rather than a scripted animation. A live trophic-flow diagram shows the food web as a network of nodes and energy-flux arrows, while a population graph tracks the classic boom-and-bust cycles that emerge as each level's numbers rise and fall in response to the ones above and below it. Adjust the grass regrowth rate, grazing rate, predation rate and both death rates to see the chain stabilize, oscillate, or collapse when a level outruns what supports it.
