🧪 Monod Kinetics Fed-Batch Fermentation Simulator
Batch and fed-batch bioreactor fermentation simulator: real Monod growth kinetics, substrate consumption, Luedeking-Piret product formation and dissolved-oxygen limitation, integrated live as coupled ODEs.
This simulator integrates a real bioprocess-engineering model of a stirred-tank fermenter in real time: Monod growth kinetics for the specific growth rate as a function of substrate concentration and dissolved oxygen, a substrate mass balance scaled by a biomass/substrate yield coefficient, Luedeking-Piret kinetics for growth- and non-growth-associated product formation, and an oxygen mass-transfer balance that lets low aeration genuinely starve the culture of oxygen and cap growth. Switch between batch and fed-batch operation, tune the initial substrate load, aeration coefficient and feed dilution rate, and watch biomass, substrate, product and dissolved-oxygen concentrations evolve together on the live time-course chart exactly as the coupled differential equations dictate.
