X-Linked Recessive Inheritance 2D: Monte Carlo Pedigree Simulator
2D companion to the 3D family-tree lab: pick parental X-linked genotypes, simulate up to 200 random children with one click, and watch the live sex-split affected/carrier/unaffected percentages converge on the exact Mendelian theory.
This 2D companion drives the same X-linked recessive inheritance model as the 3D family-tree version through a plain canvas view built around a Monte Carlo demonstration rather than a single static family: choose a genotype for each parent, then generate a random batch of up to 200 simulated children and watch each one appear in the grid color-coded as affected, carrier, or unaffected, split by sex. A live table tracks the running simulated percentages against the exact Mendelian theory side by side, making the Law of Large Numbers directly visible — small families swing around the theoretical odds, large ones settle onto them — while the same underlying rule holds throughout: an affected father can never pass the condition to a son.
A 2D Monte Carlo companion to the 3D X-linked pedigree lab: each simulated child draws a random gamete from each parent under the exact Mendelian model, rendered live on a plain canvas with a running theory-vs-simulated probability table.
