iCasp9 Safety-Switch Simulator (2D)
Interactive 2D population-dynamics view of the inducible caspase-9 (iCasp9) safety switch: dose a dimerizing drug into a scattered field of engineered T-cells and watch Hill-kinetics apoptosis clear the switch-positive fraction while proliferation and switch-negative cells continue unaffected. Pan and zoom the field.
Engineered T-cell therapies carry real risk — a runaway cytokine storm or graft-versus-host reaction needs a fast, reliable emergency brake. The inducible caspase-9 (iCasp9) safety switch is that brake: a drug-binding domain fused to a dormant caspase, silent until a small-molecule dimerizer forces two copies together and triggers apoptosis directly, bypassing the cell's normal death receptors. This 2D companion view renders the same population model as a pannable, zoomable flat field of engineered T-cells, colour-split into switch-positive (drug-sensitive) and switch-negative (drug-immune) populations, and lets you tune transduction efficiency, baseline proliferation, and dimerizer dose before administering the drug and watching Hill-kinetics apoptosis clear only the switch-positive share while the rest of the population proliferates on, exactly as it would in a real haploidentical transplant or next-generation CAR-T safety circuit.
A pannable, zoomable 2D population-dynamics view of the inducible caspase-9 (iCasp9) safety switch: dose a dimerizing drug into a flat field of engineered T-cells and watch Hill-kinetics apoptosis clear only the switch-positive fraction while proliferation and switch-negative cells continue unaffected. Same logistic-growth-plus-Hill-kinetics model as the 3D simulator, rendered as a drag-to-pan, scroll-to-zoom flat field.
