🧪 Jewelry Design Simulation
Design a ring band in 3D: set the band profile, rotational-symmetry motif count and stone size, and watch live metal-volume, weight and proportion readouts update from real revolution geometry.
Jewelry design is applied geometry: a band is a solid of revolution, a decorative motif repeats under rotational symmetry, and a stone setting is chosen to sit in a deliberate proportion to its band. This simulator builds a real ring in 3D from those rules — adjust the band's cross-section, the symmetry count of its filigree motif, the center stone's size and the metal itself, and watch the band regenerate live along with true geometric readouts: swept metal volume via Pappus's theorem, estimated weight from the metal's density, an approximate US ring size, and the stone-to-band proportion ratio jewelers use to judge visual balance.
This simulation demonstrates the design process for jewelry. It explores concepts related to geometry, proportion, and material properties as they apply to creating intricate and aesthetically pleasing pieces of jewelry.
