Colloidal Suspension & Soft Matter Simulator (2D)
2D Brownian-dynamics colloid cell: tune particle concentration, attraction strength, temperature and shear rate to watch particles stay dispersed, cluster, or gel — with a live cluster count, Péclet number and phase readout.
This 2D companion runs the same Brownian-dynamics colloid model as the 3D version on a flat canvas: particles undergo random thermal jitter scaled by temperature, feel short-range excluded-volume repulsion and tunable attraction toward nearby neighbours via a spatial hash, and are dragged sideways by an imposed shear flow. A union-find pass over the live particle positions counts clusters and their average size each frame, and a Péclet number derived from shear rate and an estimated diffusion coefficient classifies the system as a dispersed fluid, a clustered suspension, or a gel.
