Microvascular Decompression for Trigeminal Neuralgia Simulator (3D)
A real WebGL cerebellopontine angle you can orbit and zoom: the trigeminal nerve root, the compressing superior cerebellar artery loop, and the Teflon interposition pad rendered as actual 3D geometry through all five stages of microvascular decompression.
This 3D companion places the same five-stage microvascular decompression procedure inside an orbitable cerebellopontine angle: a semi-transparent brainstem and cerebellum anchor the scene, the trigeminal nerve root is a real tube-geometry mesh that visibly kinks under compression, the superior cerebellar artery is a pulsing torus loop riding the kink point, and — once the Teflon pad animates into place during stage 4 — the nerve straightens and the pain-spark particles along it fade out. Drag to orbit and scroll to zoom around the conflict the way a surgeon would examine it through the operating microscope, rather than viewing it as a flat cross-section.
WebGL cerebellopontine-angle scene built with Three.js r128: a tube-geometry trigeminal nerve that kinks with compression severity, a torus-geometry superior cerebellar artery loop, and a Teflon interposition pad that animates into position during the decompression stage, all viewed through a hand-rolled drag-orbit and scroll-zoom camera.
