Extended Haplotype Homozygosity (2D): Selective Sweep Decay Maps

Interactive 2D population-genomics simulator: a live haplotype decay map, EHH curves and an iHS score track how a selected allele's chromosome neighborhood stays unbroken by recombination generation after generation, versus a neutral allele at the same frequency. Drag and scroll the haplotype map to pan and zoom.

Population genomics infers recent natural selection not from allele frequency alone but from the shape of the chromosome around it. This simulator renders a bundle of sampled haplotypes as a 2D matrix around a core SNP and erodes each row generation by generation with a real recombination model, so you can watch a strongly selected allele carry an anomalously long, unbroken haplotype block compared with a neutral allele at the same frequency. Live EHH decay curves, an allele-frequency trajectory panel and an iHS score — the actual statistics genome scanners compute from 1000 Genomes and biobank haplotype panels — update as you change the selection coefficient, sweep age, recombination rate and sample size. Drag and scroll the haplotype map to pan and zoom, just like a genome browser.
