🎣 Hooked Fish Lab: Rod Bending, Line Stretch and Drag Clutch

A rod clamped on a pier and a hooked fish at the end of a stretchy line: cantilever rod bending, line tension, the slipping drag clutch, fish drag and stamina, plus Archimedes float and sinker, with measured-vs-theory experiments.

⚙ Under the hood

A tapered fishing rod modelled as a large-deflection cantilever, an elastic line, a slipping drag clutch and a hooked fish with anisotropic drag, stamina and buoyancy, plus an Archimedes float-and-sinker rig. Experiments compare rod deflection with beam theory, float draught and sinker fall time with Archimedes and drag theory, and sweep the clutch setting to find the window that lands the fish without snapping the line.
