🧪 Classroom Classroom Environment Simulation

Interactive 3D classroom daylighting simulator: move the sun across the sky by time of day and season, pick which compass direction the windows face, and adjust the blinds to see how far the sunbeam reaches across the floor, how bright the desks get, and when the whiteboard is at risk of glare.

A classroom's lighting is never static — the sun's altitude and compass position change all day and all year, and how far it reaches across the floor changes with it. This simulator builds a real classroom in 3D — desks, a window wall with adjustable blinds, and a whiteboard — and drives the sun with actual solar-geometry equations: a mid-latitude altitude arc from the time-of-day slider, a seasonal swing in peak altitude, and a compass azimuth that only lets direct light in when the windows genuinely face the sun. Watch the glowing sunbeam patch creep across the floor as the sun drops toward the horizon, track live desk illuminance and whiteboard glare risk, and see why a low winter sun through south-facing windows is the classic glare complaint that a well-angled blind is designed to fix.
