Balance Beam Simulator (2D)

2D see-saw lab: two masses on a pivoted beam create opposing torques, and the beam's angular acceleration, velocity and rest angle follow the real rotational-dynamics equations, live.

This 2D companion drives the same torque-balance physics as the 3D version on a plain top-down canvas: sliders set each weight's mass and distance from the pivot, the beam's angle updates from live net torque and rotational inertia rather than a scripted animation, and the readout panel shows the exact moment (mass × distance), net torque and settled state so the lever principle is visible in numbers as well as motion.

2D see-saw lab with real torque and moment-of-inertia equations: two masses on a pivoted beam create opposing torques, and the beam's angle, angular velocity and rest state follow the physics live.
