🩺 3D Prophylactic PD Stent Placement

The pancreatic duct, common bile duct, duodenoscope, guidewire and 5Fr single-pigtail stent rendered as real orbitable Three.js/WebGL geometry — the same PEP risk-score and rectal indomethacin math as the 2D original, now explorable from any angle in three dimensions.

⚙ Under the hood

A real 3D pancreaticobiliary scene, built from Three.js tube geometry along the same quadratic-bezier ductal topology as the 2D model, now extended with a genuine z-depth axis. The pancreatic duct, common bile duct, duodenal lumen and ampulla of Vater are orbitable meshes; the duodenoscope shaft approaches on an animated bezier path, the guidewire and 5Fr single-pigtail stent grow along the duct curve using the exact same progress fractions as the 2D canvas engine, and the stent's pigtail coils in 3D around the duct's local tangent frame. The baseline PEP risk score and rectal indomethacin toggle drive an unmodified port of the 2D model's computeMetrics() — predicted risk, stent success, spontaneous passage and risk reduction all compute identically to the 2D original, just read off a live HUD instead of a canvas overlay. Migration and the KUB radiograph check are staged exactly as in the 2D model, rendered as a canvas-textured plane that always faces the camera.
