Organic Rankine Cycle Waste-Heat Generator
Interactive 3D Organic Rankine Cycle simulator: pick a working fluid, tune the waste-heat source and cooling temperatures, and watch pump, evaporator, turbine and condenser convert low-grade heat into electricity with live thermal efficiency, net power and pressure readouts.
This simulator models a real Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC): a closed loop of pump, evaporator, turbine and condenser that converts low-grade waste heat — 80–260 °C geothermal brine, exhaust gas or industrial process heat — into electricity using an organic working fluid instead of water. Pick a fluid, set the heat-source and cooling temperatures, and watch the 3D loop animate liquid and vapor particles around the cycle while a Clausius–Clapeyron saturation-pressure model and an isentropic-turbine energy balance compute live thermal efficiency, net electrical power, the Carnot limit and both saturation pressures.
Simulate a real Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC): tune the waste-heat source, working fluid and cooling temperature, and watch pump, evaporator, turbine and condenser convert low-grade heat into electricity with live efficiency and power readouts.
