🚄 Maglev Dynamics (2D): Levitation Gap & Eddy-Current Drag
2D maglev lab: closed-form electrodynamic-suspension physics — an eddy-current lift force that rises with the square of speed balanced against gravity, and a drag force that peaks at the guideway's characteristic velocity and fades at high speed.
This 2D companion drives the same electrodynamic-suspension physics as the 3D scene through a plain canvas view built for reading the forces rather than orbiting a train model: a side panel exposes coil field strength, target speed and passenger load, a live force-vs-speed graph plots the lift and drag curves predicted by the closed-form EDS equations with the current operating point marked, and a levitation-gap strip chart shows the gap settling as the train accelerates through its liftoff speed — making the physics that the 3D version only implies through an animated gap directly visible as numbers and curves instead.
