Antenna Radio Waves (2D)
Interactive 2D dipole antenna simulator: tune transmitter frequency and receiver antenna length, watch electromagnetic wavefronts radiate outward, and match the receiver to quarter-wavelength resonance for peak signal.
This 2D simulator draws a dipole transmitter radiating electromagnetic waves outward as expanding wavefronts and a traveling field ribbon, while a translucent doughnut-shaped lobe shows the real sin²θ radiation pattern around the antenna. Drag the frequency slider to change the wavelength (λ = c/f), move the receiver's angle around the transmitter to see the radiated power fall off toward the antenna's axis, and tune the receiver antenna's length toward the quarter-wavelength ideal to watch its signal-strength meter and LED bank light up at resonance.
Interactive 2D dipole antenna simulator computing real radio-wave physics: tune the transmitter frequency and receiver antenna length, and move the receiver around the sin-squared-theta radiation pattern to find peak quarter-wavelength resonance.
