🧪 Authentic Assessment Simulation
Interactive 3D simulator: place a task in real-world-authenticity vs. cognitive-demand space, tune rubric clarity, and watch validity, inter-rater reliability and score consistency respond live.
Authentic assessment asks students to demonstrate a skill the way it is actually used in the world — a lab report, a design pitch, a diagnosis — instead of recalling facts on a quiz. That realism raises validity but makes consistent scoring harder unless the rubric is precise. This simulator places your task as a glowing cube in a 3D design space (real-world authenticity × cognitive demand), scores its validity against an ideal "authentic zone," and then runs a live population of independent raters as an Ornstein–Uhlenbeck score cloud whose spread is driven by your rubric's clarity — so you can watch the validity/reliability trade-off happen instead of just reading about it.
This simulation demonstrates the concept of authentic assessment, which focuses on evaluating skills and knowledge within real-world contexts. It highlights the importance of tasks that mirror practical applications and require critical thinking rather than rote memorization.
