🧪 Economics Macroeconomics Simulation
Interactive 3D macroeconomics simulator: watch a stochastic business cycle unfold quarter by quarter and see Okun's Law link the output gap to the unemployment rate in real time, with tunable persistence, demand shocks and the Okun coefficient.
This simulator drives a stochastic business-cycle model — a persistent, shock-driven output gap — quarter by quarter, and applies Okun's Law to translate that gap directly into an unemployment rate. Two rows of 3D bars scroll through time: GDP-growth deviation from potential and the unemployment gap, which move as near mirror-images of each other because Okun's Law says they must. Tune the Okun coefficient, the natural rate of unemployment, demand-shock volatility and cycle persistence, or fire a one-off recession or boom shock, and watch the labour market respond to the real economy in real time.
This simulation demonstrates macroeconomic principles, allowing users to explore concepts like inflation, GDP, and monetary policy in a dynamic environment.
