Carbon Credit Market Simulator
Interactive 3D cap-and-trade carbon market: watch a shrinking emissions cap force companies to either abate their own emissions or buy credits from cleaner rivals and a reforestation offset project, with the trading price set live by the cheapest available abatement.
Carbon markets work by turning a shrinking emissions cap into a price: regulators hand each company free allowances, and whoever finds it cheapest to cut emissions does so, selling their spare allowances to companies for whom cutting is expensive. This simulation models that clearing process live — a circle of factories each with their own baseline emissions and abatement cost, a central reforestation project generating extra offset credits, and a trading price that updates every simulated year from whichever abatement is the last (and most expensive) one still needed to hit the cap. Tighten the cap, widen the cost spread between companies, or scale up the offset project and watch the price and the buyer/seller pattern shift in response.
Interactive 3D cap-and-trade market where companies with different abatement costs either cut their own emissions or buy credits from cheaper rivals and a reforestation offset project, with the trading price set live by the cheapest abatement still needed to meet a shrinking cap.
