Wildlife GPS collars do not stream a live position — they wake on a schedule, take a fix and go back to sleep to conserve battery. This simulator visualizes that trade-off directly: a small herd roams a 3D reserve while their collars transmit at an interval you control, each transmission drawn as a burst and a new trail point. Pull the interval down for a smooth, detailed trail that drains the battery fast; push it up for a coarse trail that runs for seasons. Watch overlapping trails reveal a shared migration corridor, and watch the reserve's geofence flag any fix recorded outside its boundary.

⚙ Under the hood

3D wildlife GPS-collar simulator: animals transmit location fixes on a tunable interval, trails accumulate only at each transmission, overlapping trails reveal a migration corridor, and a geofenced reserve boundary triggers alerts when a fix falls outside it.
